FATAL INJURIES
ASSAULTED MAN DIES. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, April 24. Mr Saywell, who with his wi e, was attacked while asleep at their palatial mansion, with a hammer and was badly battered about the head hied in the hospital at mid-night on Saturday. Mrs Saywell is still unconscious. There is little hope of her recovery. The police are guarding the residence. They have scant clues as yet, except the hammer used, which was found in a nearby field. The motive remains a mystery. The police are seeking for finger prints.
