The authorities are succeeding in rounding up most of the Provincial Delegates, but a few have managed to meet secretly. They carried resolutions pledging loyalty to Gandhi. They resolved to 'continue the civil disobedience till India has achieved her freedom.

Thirty political prisoners were being conveyed by train from Aligarh to Lahore, when, at midnight, they ovr--powered their escort- of ten constables. They seized the rifles of the escort and shot two constables, one of them fatally. Then thep stopped the train and os-aped into the jungle.
