£260,000,000 AGAINST RUSSIA

Questioned as to the total amount of elaimls .of British national's 'against the Soviet Government in respect of cash and property in Russia appropriated without <;omi>ensation, the Parliamentary Secretary for the Board of Trade, Lord de WaiT, said that insofar as the amounts were indicab ' the claimants, the total claims recorded in the Russian Claims Department amounted to upwards of £260,000,000. and about 1,000,01X1,000 roubles.There were also various amounts expressed in other currencies.
