MURDER CHARGE
MOXLEY IN COURT
TREMENDOUS PUBLIC CURIOSITY. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY April 22. William Moxley, who was arrested yesterday north of Sydney, was before the Court to-day, charged with the murders of the man Wilkinsun and tne girl Denzel. The public displayed tremendous curiosity as to the accused, hundreds being unable to gain admission to the Court. Later Moxley was taken in the police car to the scene of the murders, where the police attemped to reconstruct the crime.
A COUPLE ATTACKED IN BED. SYDNEY, April 22. Victor Claude SayweJl, a well-known solicitor and sportsman, and his wife, were found in bed to-day with tlieir heads horribly battered, apparently with a hammer, while they were asleep. Tthey were taken to the hospital in a critical condition. No reason for the murderous attack upon the Saywel’s bar, vet been ascertained, A blood-stained hammer was discovered in an adjoining paddock. The Saywells were prominent society folk, residing at Bellevue Hill.
