ALLEGED ASSAULT
SPEED TRIALS ACTION.

AUCKLAND, April 22.
Damages totalling £443 and general damages for £250 each are claimed in a writ for alleged assault, which lias been issued by L. APLeod Hill, of A\ el ling ton, cinematographer, and G. I). M. Goodwin, of Wellington, company director, against the Auckland Automobile Racing Cub, Ltd., H J, Butcher, and Fox Movietone, Ltd. Plaintiffs allege that they travelled from Wellington to Ninety Mile Beach by aeroplane to take cinematograph pictures of the speed tests and the prelirninries being conducted by the Auckland Automobile Racing Club, Ltd. They allege that on January 26th, while attempting to take pictures, Butcher, the managing director, together with other employees of the racing club and employees of Fox Movietone, Ltd., assaulted them and prevented them from taking pictures' and from manufacturing as many feet of film and making as much profit by the sale of the film to companies throughout the world as they would otherwise have done.
