MOXLEY ARRESTED
CAUGHT IN DENSE SCRUB.

SYDNEY, April 12
William Moxley, wanted 111 connection with the murder of the girl Denzel and the man Wilkinson, was arrested by detectives this afternoon at French’s Forest, near -Manly, North Sydney. 5 ;
, ,iive detectives and a police patrol driver arrested Moxley in some dense scrub, eight miles north of Sydney, at French’s Forest. It is a spa.ee.,settled area, and is composed of dill's with rocky outcrops, and here and there a lonely poultry farm. French Forest lies in the very opposite- direction from the area whore the search was carried on last week.
now tfie police learned that Moxley was at French’s Forest has not yet explained. They followed his bicycle tracks for a mile into the bush, where they came upon him lying under a rocky shelter, with the bicycle standing nearby; As soon as he sfiw the police Mosley bounded to his feet with remarkable agility, and made off . into the bush, momentarily disappearing. Tho detectives were just about to use their revolvers, when the police driver, Gill, saw him pass beneath am other rock, a short distance away. Gill then took a flying leap, and he crashed on top of Moxley with great foice, bringing him to the ground. Tne detectives then arrived,, and Moxley submitted quietly to arrest. The man told bis captors that lie was very tired, and that he had little food or sleep, and that the nights had been cold. The last time that lie saw anybody was a week ago, when he called at Corbett’s house in Bankstown (south of Sydney) and was warn ed off.

Moxley, who has allegedly admitted his identity, had several days’ growth of beard when taken. He looked haggard. He told the police that it was “all up” when a local resident saw him pushing his bicycle into the bush at French’s Forest, and appeared to recognise- him. It now appears that the man re ferrod to actually gave the .information to the police which culminated in the speedy arrival of the patrol car With the/three detectives aboard. Afoxley's swag contained a. quantity of old oiotjjes, some provisions, several Rail's of salnis,line,h, and a few shillings, while, in his shelter was one of yesterday's newspapers. It was opened at the spot where the reward of £2OO was recommended for his apprehension, Moxley was brought to the city, quickly charged, and then hurried front the public gaze to the cells.
