Last vea", at the request of her Excellency, Lady Bledisloe, it was announced that while she deeply appreciated the courtesy of those who, following the old-established and, indeed, graceful custom, have presented her with bouquets on. her visits to institutions or arrival at various functions, she would prefer that during the prevailing period of financial stringency arising from economic adversity thy custom should he allowed to fall into desuetude. As, however, the custom has been discontinued only to a limited extent,, her Excellency desires to aniioiiiiVe again that she would fee! relieved i in all cases where presentation bouquets to her may he contemplated," she might, while grateful for the kind thought, he allowed to accept the will for the deed.
