The “Herald” says that, in State political circles, an early general election is regarded as inevitable, although it is difficult to forecast the political future until judgment of the High Chart is delivered. All 'State political parties are busy preparing for an election campaign, the opinion in Parliamentary lobbies being that an election will be held early in June.
