WELLINGTON, April In
Reports of tHo meetings of protest, addressed over the week-end by Labour members, were submitted to the caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party, to-day. It was stated that the gatherings were, of an orderly nature and were the largest in the history of the movement, and in every ease resolutionscondemning the policy of the Government was carried practically unanimously. A caucus of the Coalition Party wa* held this morning, 'file Prime Minister did not attend. Mr Con lew stated that the meeting was held to discuss the (special emergency legislation being introduced in the House- to night, to make provision for dealing with any civil disturbances that might occur. The caucus also discussed the more difficult portions of the National Expenditure Adjustment- Dill. Mr Coates said that a spirit of harinoMv had prevailed.
