Sir lloriicrt Samuel, in reply t (| ;l question in the House ol Commons said that lie proposed recommending a special remission in the sentences ol certain convicts, in respect ol their meritorious service during the recent disturbances. It was undesirable to announce these till the, conclusion ol the criminal proceedings against others.
