NEW YORK, April 16

Special signficance is attached to two developments in the Prohibition situation, which lmvo just occurred.

The first i.s the adption by the Missouri Stato Republican Convention of a resolution asking lor the submission of the eighteenth amendment once again to the State Constitutional Conventions, and the approval of this resolution by the United State,.s Secretary of Agriculture, Air Hyde, who i.s one .of the leading “dry” exponents in the Cabinet.

The second developments is the announcement of plans for nationwide “Beer Parades,” which have been suggested by Mayor "Walker, of New York, for May loth.

The heads of cities, abo national groups of various sorts including the American Federation of Labour, have all accepted the proposal. A countrywide demonstration on the occasion of the “Beer Parades” is expected.

Air Hyde’s move is expected to presage a similar programme in the National Republican Party’s platform. Air Hyde explained tliat lie bus not changed his views on the Prohibition question, but be says that he believes that the “People’s Right” should be heard.
