V “BLIND WIVES”—A DOMESTIC DRAMA.
Whether caveman tactics are an aid to marital happiness is held up for the public opinion in “Blind Wives,” to be screened to-night (Saturday). In the case of a modern wife shown on the screen in this instance, interpretea
. ,-by Genevieve Tobin, she had a knock- / out blow meted out to her by Conrad i Nagel, a patient, “hen-pecked” hubny. Conrad is most convincing as the “long suffering” husband whose temper is finally ignited by the spark created by' a family doctor’s stating f that domestic trouble© could he soived by spanking his wife. Miss Tobin, who made her screen debut in “A Lady Surrenders,” assured herself a place in the select circle of film favourites through her performance in “Blind Wives.”
