INDUCTION SERVICE
AT METHODIST CHURCH. REV. C. 0. HAILWOOD INSTALLED The Alethodist Church was well filled last evening when the induction of Rev. C. O. Mailwcod to the charge of the Hokitika circuit took place. The conduction was conducted by Rev. G. E. Stockwell, of Blenheim, Chairman of the district assisted by Rev. Foston of AVestport, who both delivered fine addresses. Afterwards an adjournment was made to the schoolroom where a welcome social was tendered to Rev. and Ails Hailwood. A pleasant musical programme was rendered, solos being given by Misses Knight, Wylie, and Alessrs A. Perry and Bulpin, aiid a recitation by Miss B. Evans, Miss Gifese was. tlJe acco-mit s-nfsto. The chairman, Rev. Stockwell, had on the platform with him Revs, Poston, Knights, and Naylor and Capt. Abbott. , Speeches of welcome were made by ■ 1 the' Chairman, Revs. Foston, and Knights and by Air Morris of Greymouth, representing the Bible Class Union of the West Coast. Airs Stockwell extended a welcome to Airs Hailwood, and Mr T. AY. Duff, Circuit Steward, also spoke to welcome the Ministir and his wife. The Rev. Hailwood replied in an interesting manner, the whole proceedings being very happy and enjoyable
