SHORT SITTING AT HOKITIKA. , There was only a short sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Hokitika this morning before Mr W. Meld rum, S.M. Judgment by Default. Judgment by default was given in tho case of the, Westland Hospital Board v Frederick B'oakes, £8 15s 6d, and costs £1 10s fid. Failed to Pay Levy . Tlie Inspecor of Factories (Mr F. G. Davies), proceeded against E. M. Xeilson. City Hotel, Ross, on five charges of failing to pay the unemployment levy. The case was adjourned for a fortnight. Breach of Maintenance Order.
