SYDNEY, April 14. The police hunt for the. murderer of 'Wilkinson and the girl Denzel was intensified to-day. Mr Frank' Corbett, a resident of Bankstown, an outer suburb, told some of the defectives Ithat the man wham they wanted had called at hit; house this morning. Mr Corbett, who had given the same man a meal a week before, ordered him off the premises, and while he was escaping into some scrub nearby, Corbett fired a rifle at him, but without effect. Mr Corbett recognised the man’s face by .his photograph that is appearing in the newspapers. Corbett intended ito sboot him on sight the next time he came. The municipal Council of Alexandria urges that when the- murderer is convicted there should not be political interference with the Court’s verdict.
