The Council was still solveilt, and had no debts of any magnitude, while the interest bill was only £lO. He doubted whether any other council could say that. The report was so comprehensive thab the council need not spend much time discussing it. The work had been well carried out, the finances have been husbanded, and the ratepayers have got off with a very low rate, the lowest in Westland. He had heard no complaints, and was phased to see r.he Council in such a good financial position at the end of its term of office.
