TUESDAY, APRIL 21th

NOTICES OF MOTION

1. The Chairman to move :—“That the accounts for the month of January, 1932, and approved by the Fin Alice Committee, amounting to £1570 11s 4d, be passed for payment.”

2 The Chairman to move:—“That the accounts, for the month of ruary, 1932, as revised and recommended for payment by the Finance Committee, be now approved and passed for payment.” 3. The Chairman to move:—“That the Council borrow by way of overdraft from the Bank of New Zealand, a sum not exceeding £2,oW; such overdraft, to be secured by revenues outstanding and uncollected! at 31st.‘ March, 1933.” 4. The Chairman to tnove :—“That the annual report of the Treasurer, on the past year’s finance and on the proposed allocation of estimated revenue and expenditure for the current financial year, be now considered, and subject, to discussion, adopted.” 5. The Chairman to move:—“That in respect to the foregoing report, the following be authorised :

“(a) That the annual general rat© for the year 1932 1933, be fixed at four farthings in the £, capital value.

“(b) That Council meetings be curtailed where possible to alternate

months.

“(c) That the proposed revision of ferry subsidies (in view of decreased grant) be adopted,” 6. The Chairman to move: —“That' the Overseer prepare a list of urgent works for application for Government grants for the current financial year.” \ 7. Cr. Donovan to move:—“That the wire bridge, Upper Wataroa Gorge, be repaired ancl made safe For

taffic.” _ 8 Or. Donovan to move:— That Overseer Millner inspect and report on the best method of diverting water from overflowing and damaging .Purcell road.
