The famotrs - Universal camera crane, a marvel of Hollywood, was employed during tiie . making of “The Oat Creeps,” a sensational mystery drama, which concludes at' the Princess Thea l tre to-night (Saturday), and serves to ■introduce a number of very unusual camera angles.” Suspended 1 from the mobile end of "Jthis great steel crane is a platform for the accommodation of' cameras and camei-a-nlen, which may be swung up and down and in a lateral direction, combining these two actions simultaneously, if' desired. The cranes is mounted on a motor truck, and can follow the characters in a scene up and down stairs. Camera work on “The Cat Creeps” was in charge of Hal Mohr, designer of the crane. “The Cat Creeps” was adapted from “The Oat a»d the Canary,” and its cast includes Helen Twelvotrees, Raymond Haekett, Neil Hamilton, Lilyan‘ Tashman, Jean Hersholt, Montagu Love, Theodore von Elies, LawrenceGrant and' other favourite screen players-.
