The Maritime Unions have now decided to ask the Federal Government to co-operate with the New Zealand Government in .introducing legislation to prohibit foreign vessls from trading htween the South Seas, New Zealand and Australia. The conference decided “to use all its industrial powers to prevent American-owned ships filching Australian and New Zealand trade from Australian-owned ships.”
