The Prince of Wales and Prince George have entered machines for the King’s Cup air race of 1250 miles round Britain, on July Bth. The Prince of Wales’ pilot will be Flight-Lieutenant E. Filden, and Prince George’s pilot will be lFlight~Liei|tenant J. Armour. There are nearly fifty entries, including Lady Bailey, and Miss Delia jUrossley, the only woman to finish last year.
PILOT’S SERIOUS INJURY
NEW YORK, April 7,
i A message from Worcester (Alas- ! sacliusets) states that Fjra,i?,k Hawks, the noted -speed flyer, was critcally injured to-day, when his ’plane crashed as lie attempted to take off from' the AVorcester air port. He sustained a fractured skull, and serious idee injuries.
CAPTAIN HAWKS' INJURIES,
NEW YORK, April 7
Examination revealed that Captain Hawks was seriously, but not critically, injured. His face is seriously contused and lacerated, with jaw fractures. but his skull was not fractured. He may sustain facial paralysis as the result of jaw fractures, .so the surgeons said.
