WEDDING BELLS
The wedding was; celebrated at Holy Trinity Church yesterday afternoon of 'Ellen Annie (Nancy), only daughter of Mrs and the late' Mr George Martin, Greyinouth, to Joseph, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. J. rtudha.ll, Boddytown. The ceremony was performed by Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn and Mr T. F. Savage presided at the organ. The Church was piettily decorated with Michaelmas daisies and hydrangeas by friends ot tne bnde. The bride who was escorted by her uncle, Mr H. F. West, Nelson, was attired in an ankle-length frock of duchesse satin, with med'ici collar, and a long bodice shirred around the hips, and with tight-fitting sleeves falling ■ill a point over -the hands. She wore a wreath of orange-blossom, and a long veil, and shoes and stockings to tone. /She' carried a t bouquet of white hothouse begonias, lily of the va'ley, and maidenhair fern. Misses Esme White, cousin of the bride, and Fbie Brrihall, sister of the bridegroom, attended as bridesmaids, The former wealing a frock of felicity pink georgette of ankle-length, with a diagonally-tucked bodice, and a flared skirt with an inverted pleated panel. She carried a bouquet of pale pink hydrangeas ant cactus dahlias. Miss Rudhall’s frock was cut on similar lines, and was of primrose georgette. Her bouquet was of cream French marigolds and cactus dahlias. Mr Reginald Rudhall, attended'his brother as best man and Mr 800 Burger was groomsman. The reception was held a,t the Druid’s Hall where Mrs Martin received her .guests, wearing -a frock of black crepe-de-chine relieved with white, and a white hat to tone. She carried a bouquet oi Japanese golden spangled lilies.. Mrs I (Rudhall, mother of the bridegroom, j wore a frock of brown and orange j georgette, and she carried a bouquet of ikutumn tinted flowers. Later Mr and Mrs Joseph Rudhall left for C.instchurch on their wedding tour, the bride travelling in >n three-piece natier blue costume, with a fur coat and a smart hat to tone.
