MONEY PROBLEM

Addressing the Canadian Club here, the Minister for Trade and Commerce, Mr Stevens, -said ; “At the forthcoming .Imperial Economic Conference, questions of inter-Empire trade should be carefully and efficiently studied, and high hopes are entertained that practical results will be achieved, but in .mv opinion, the most notable service which the British Empire could render to a perplexed and harrasseU world would be for the Commonwealth of Nations to finu a solution of the currency problem. . The Canadian Parliament recognising the necessity of a monetary system that will ensure stability on the inteiEmpire exchange, has instructed its delegates to promulgate this question at. the Conference, and to do all possible to achieve this most desirable end.’
