Howard Ferguson, who is on a visit here, told interviewers: “On every hand it is being said, that since the Reformation, there has been nothing of so much importance us the .Imperial Economic Conference at Ottawa in July. It is spoken of as a dispensation in British history, independent of politics, and independent of everything else, It is recalled that the Empire is facing the termination of its dependence on international contracts.’’
