DISAPPEARANCE OF CHILD
/ By Telegraph—ter Frets Associationj
BLENHEIM, March, 31. Tlie mysterious disappearance of Brian Connolly, two and a half years old, son of Mr and Mr s Charles Connolly, Colman’s Road, Springlands, is reported. The child, with its parents, was visiting .friends at Marchburn, 22 miles from Blenheim, on Sunday last.
During the afternoon the party strolled from the homestead to a. creek adjacent. Brian, playing about with other children, was suddenly missed. The party searched without success. Neighbours were informed, and the search was carried on all night. Since Sunday settlers from far and near have assisted, in conjunction with dogs and an aeroplane, but not the slightest trace of the child was found. The country surrounding the homestead is hilly and open, and it would be physically impossible for a child of that age to chmb the hills. Originally it was thought that the child had jokingly hidden in the station bindings, but a thorough search produced no result. The local police and settlers' are completely baffled.
