Til© Town Hall was well filled on Saturday night for the professional boxing contest between Harry Johns, of Auckland, lightweight champion ot New Zealand and Johnnie Leckie, cf Napier, featherweight champion of New. Zealand. After a bright bout, the Aucklander, who established a big lead in the early stages, secured a decisive and very popular decision. Johns was by far the cleaner, and more decisive boxer, his work being bright, right throughout and his deliveries clean and well timed. He often had Leckie troubled with a damaging right. Both men were in good fettle, but Johns was the faster of the pair. 1 ecki’ showed clever footwork, but was slo v to follow up his punches, which lacked the same sting as those of his op"o----nent.
