The points situation was interesting all day, and Canterbury and Victoria were l tinning almost together right at the end. However, Canterbury established a lead, and the Victoria representatives were left runners-up alter a spirited tussle. Auckland came next with nine points, and Otago iast with six points. Two records, both in the quarter mile events, were broken during the meeting, and, in the track events,, the performances were frequently quite close to the University record. Canerbury’s win on points in the various championship events entitled it to retain possession of the interUniversity athletic championship shield.
