Three occupants, Pitot Pat Hall, John kingsford Smith, and Harry Purvis, were unliurL. They swam a mjle towards the shore when they were picked up by fishing boats.

The accident is ascribed to an eagle hawk striking the propellor.

A correrpondent of the “Sunday Express”’ says that Senor do la C'erva llias secretly built and successfully flown at Humble Aero Club a wingless aeroplane. The machine is so small that it goes in a motor garage and can ascend from a tiny garden, or roof. It .has a windmill propellor above and is capable of great speed.
