“ONCE A GENTLEMAN.”
TO-NIGHT! - TO-NIGHT I James Cruze personally directed his latest production, the hilarious comedy, “Once a Gentleman’’ with Edward Everett Horton and Lois Wilson at the Princess Theatre. The screen wizard who made “The Covered Wagon, “Old Ironsides,” and other memorable screen successes, demonstrates that his skill in making corking comedies equals his famous ability to turn out stupendous dramatic productions. “Once A Gentleman” is a joyous tale of mistaken identity, and concerns a valet who takes a month’s vacation to play gentleman. Unusual comedy situations, bright diologue and expert acting combine with Cruze’s brilliant direction to make this one of the gayest screen comedies shown here in a long time. In the stellar cast, assembled by Cruze to support the featured players.; are Francis X. Bushman, King Baggot, Evelyn Pierce, George Fawcett and Emerson Treacy.
