KOKATAHI GUN CLUB
The annual shoot for the Brown Memorial Cup took place at the Kokatahi Gun Chib’s grounds on Good Friday afternoon. There were a fai r attendance of members talcing part. The weather was good. A north-east wind blew across the range which made shooting tricky, especially the birds out to the left. In spite of this some good shooting was made. Air .1 G Mehnrrv won the trophy with 10 kills out of VI. S. Godfrey wae runner up l . The Secretary, Mr Weir, in presenting the Cup to the winner, referred to the donor in a pleasing little address. He congratulated the winner in no unC'ertain terms, and trusted lie would be spared to take part in future competitions. Cheers were given for the winnei. The scores were:—T. G. Mehariy 10. S. Godfrey 9, V. Fleming 8, J. W. Kelly 6, D. Weir 5. During the afternoon a prize of hi 2.5. donated by Mr E. T Sherriff, was shot for, 9 bird rise, Mr S. Godfrey winning with all on. A line perform a n co. Mr J. G. Me harry and J. M. Kellv tied for second place. On He shoot olf J. W. Kelly won on the 7th. bird. M’lu* main scores were »S GodI fiev 0, J. G.
