A riqt- occurred in a Nanking theatre during the showing of a fiim, depicting fighting on the Shanghai front. Soldiers in the audience objected to the slurs on the military precipitating real fighting, resulting in the interim of the theatre being wrecked. Three people were thrown through the upper windows to the street ai'tl many others were seriously injured. The arrival of a. large force of police prevented the burning of the theatre.
