PHAR LAP’S PROGRAMME. rSCT C7W r W‘ fiW* **
NOT GOING TO ENGLAND
NEW YORE, March 22
Phar Lap will be taken ,to Hamilton to Mr H. Cotton’s ranch, near San Clemente, to rest. (Mr Davis said that he would not consider taking Pilar Lap to England. “The climate would undoubtedly be too rigorous,” he said.
Mr Davis added that the horse would nrobably be shipped back to Australia ■from Chicago after the summer meetings. There appeared to be little likelihood that 1m would be entered for any of the smaller stake races.
The horse is being accompanied to the ranch at Hamilton by his attendants, including trainer Woodcock, Mr William Neilson (veterinarian), the jockey, Billy Elliott, and H. Martin, his rider in training gallops. Trainer Woodcock said before Phar Lap left the stable'at Agua Cali elite that the horse’s bruised hoof would be cured within three or tour days.
He stated Mr Davis would take Phar Lap to Chicago for big stake races at Washington and 'Arlington Parks a little later.
