The Sydney .snow was officially open,,l to-dav by the Governor-General, Sir Isaac Isaacs. In the course of his peech Si'r Isaac Isaacs said : “1 think we have witnessed tile worst, although it would be foolish to suggest that there can be any relaxation <jf our effort in the- future.”
.Mr J. T. Lang, Premier of New ■sCjiith Wu'.es, in his speech referred to the distress prevalent ill Australia. He said: Until Parliaments had made a bridge between the goods that we have produced and those who are in need of those goods, .there would be no happiness.
