Six of the most promnent horses entered for the Agua Caliente Handicap on Sunday worked out against time on Thursday.

Ph'ar Lap easiiy ran through threequarters of a mile' in lmin 20sec, his performance firmly entrenching him in the favourite's position. Those in charge of Pliar Lap’s training said that he has been put through a more strenuous period of preparation for this handicap than for any ol his races in Australia.

The Executive of the New Zealand Racing Conference me£ at Wellington to-day to consider the application of A. F. Wilson, Chief Stipendiary Steward, that the decision of the Auckland District Committee in regard to Hector Gray’s appeal in tlm Antique case at the Te Aroha meeting should he reviewed. The Committee decided that the case be directed to the Appeal Judges of the Conference.
