DRIVER’S ESCAPE
JUMP FROM BURNING TRUCK
TK PUKE, March JS,
A motor truck driver, Mr Tom Guy, had a narrow escape when a Li nek lie was driving hurst into Humes in the Mangatoi Gorge on Saturday ewuimg.
At the time of the outbreak the truck was on a down grade, and the driver had just time enough to apply the brakes and jump from the enn before the vehicle was enveloped in flumes.
The truck was owned by Mr 11. Guv of the To Puke (lurrying C'o.
