SWIMMING
BRIDSON BREAKS RECORD. (By Telegraph—ter Press Association ) AUCKLAND, March 15. At «■ swiming carnival in the Tepid Baths to-night, Gordon Bridson established a new record for 150 yards, covering the distance in lmin 31 2-5 secs. This lowered the figures standing to his own credit by one and fourfifths seconds. It also beat by threefifths of a second the Australian record established by R.. Grier in 1928.
