Pipe-smoking is on tlu> increase in I Auckland, according to a recent contributor to a local daily. "There has,” he wrote, ‘‘been a definite revival of pipe smoking here, and the increasing use of pipes is to be remarked among men of ail ages.” True for you, Sir! and if you had said the revival was not confined to Auckland you wouldn't have been far out. Nothing like a good old briar for solid comfort’! But choose your tobacco with discrimination, and whatever you do, avoid brands over-rich in nicotine. Their name is legion, unfortunately! Practically all | imported brands arc included. If you want brands that are O.K. go lor the New Zealand! They are...the world’s purest, and for flavour and uroma hold pride of place. Their comparative freedom from nicotine is owing to their being toasted. This is a somewhat elaborate and costly process. But it's worth whiie!
