BOWLING
HOKITIKA V. GREYMOUTH. The Grey Club sent down a five rink team on Saturday afternoon to play a game for the Reynolds Badges, held by Grey, and proved vict„rious by a margin of 12 points, whiie three rinks skipped by Messrs Mercer, Blair and Wliibley tied to hold the Badges, with eight points of a win each. Alter the play was concluded the President, Mr C. J. King, expressed the p.ensure felt at the visit, and the,game that had resulted, congratulating the visitors on their win. Mr Eric Moss replied on behalf of the visitors, expressing the pleasure the game had given them all, and regretting the interchange of vis.ts had not been more frequent. He paid a special word of appreciation to the ladies for the very welcome afternoon tea provided. Cheers for the.two Clubs and.ladies followed. Then Mr A. E. Benjamin (Centre delegate) in the absence of Mr J. Ring, presented the winner oi the Singles Championship, Mr J. -L Breeze, with the Centre certificate, MiBreeze suitably replying.
