ART UNION WANTED
REQUEST BY POULTRYMEN. PRIOR CLAIMS IN FILE. WELLINGTON, March 8. A deputation from the New Zealand' Poultry Association to-day asked Hie Hon. A. Hamilton. Minister of Interna] Affairs, to grant the association, the Utility Poultry’Club and the Auckland Poultrykcepers’ Association permission to hold an art union to raise funds for the purchase of land for egg-laving (-ontests and for defraying the cost of such contests without State aid. The Minister, while expressing sympathy with the request, pointed out that several requests from charitable or-ganisations had prior consideration.
