M. BRIAND, ex-FRENOH PREMIER. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received this day at 9.25 a rn) LONDON, March 7. A Paris message announces tho t.eath of M. Briand. M. Aristide Briand, who is over 70 -years of age, was Premier of France f lo m 1909 to 1911, and again until March 1913 for 56 days. He was again. Premier from 1915 to 1917, and fetched a further Ministry in 1921, resigning the following year. He played a prominent''part in the religiopolitical struggle years ago in France. His rise was rapid, as he only entered the Chamber of Deputies in 1902. He was Foreign Mini.,.ter in 1925 6 and again become Premier in that year. M. Briand was a. prominent figure in the League of Nations, and at the Geneva Conference.
