At the Magistrate's Court Greymouth on Saturday before Mr W. Meldrum, S.M., a young man, Malcolm Frederick’ Nottage, pleaded guilty to a charge that at Greymouth on-dr about February 27, 1932, lie did enijifnit the tliett of £8 7s lid, the property of Clarence Rains ford Jeffreys. Detective H. C. Muroh, who prosecuted, sfaid thatsthe facts of the case itJsjNfthat complainant wits. Cfi' fruit glower ‘ and* farmer in Nelson, and brought fruit through to Greymouth at various periods. Accused was employed to sell the fruit and received 7.V per cent, commission on all sales. Accused collected a sum of money on behalf of complainant and failed to account for it. lie had admitted that lie had spent the money on himself and could not keep going on the commission lit' was re.eiving. Accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence il called upon within two years. An oredr would be made -that accused make repayment of Hie money to the Probation' Officer wjtiiin six mondiis.
