BUSINESSMAN’S .METHODS. MUCH TIME SAVED. AUCKLAND. February 29. Using the aeroplane for business and pleasure, Mr E. R. Boucher, club captain of the Auckland Aero Club, yesterday completed a toui' without parallel in , New Zealand aviation. Flying ,an Auckland Aero Club machine, -with another club-trained pilot, I Mi- ,p. G. Lewis, Mr Boucher left Auckland on February 16. After visiting Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston-,' North, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Timaru, and Dun,edin, he arrived at Invercargill, where ■ tho machine took part/in the South Island Aero Pageant on. Saturday last. On ‘the return journey he again visited mil the main towns of the South Island, andc-, also-paid calls at.Ashburton and Nelson, He. left Nelson on Thursday afternoon, and after refuelling at Blenheim, crossed Cook Strait and 1 landed at Rongotai at 3 p.m. After spending the night at Wellington, he left again at 10.30 aim. for Auckland 'with the 'intention of 'visitnig ’Masterton, Dannevirke, and Napier. He expected to reach Auckland about , tea-time. . ! 1 Mr Boucher, who is managing-direc-tor of liis firm, visits his agents throughout New Zealand three times a'nnually, and the trip, which usually takes a month to complete by car, took two dn.y/s bv aeroplane. Air Boucher 'said that this trip had allowed more time for business than the travelling by car. “For the businessman who pilots Ins own machine, this method of transpoit is less costly, both, on the score of actual expense and when taking the 'saving of time into account. The total time occupied in 'actual travel 011 tins trip, from .the departure from Auckland to the completion, of the'return journey, will be under houis, said Air Boucher.
