A SEIZUREDEATH IN WATER-RACE. (By Telegraph—ter tress Association) MASTEKTON, February 26. A youth of seventeen, Gordon Donovan, who was employed on the farm of Mr John Stringfellow, at Greytown, was found dead in a water-race close to the homestead. It appears that he got out of bed in the night and went outside, when he was seized, with a fit from which he suffered frequently. He fell face downwards in, thjee inches of water. Dr. Berney shid that Meath must have occurred as the youth fell down, as the usual symptoms of death by suffocation or drowning were not present.
YOUTH DROWNED. AUCKLAND, Feb. 28. A youth named Clarence Singleton, aged 19, is missing and is believed to have been drowned when his homemade yacht capsized off Te Papapa beach in Manukau Harbour. The boat turned over and Hiram le Marquand, aged 22, who was a strong swimmer, tried to assist his companion. He called to him to hang on to the upturned boat, but Singleton in an effort to save himself, disregarded this warning and struck out for shore, and he disappeared. Le Marquand was rescued with difficulty. Singleton belonged to Maketn, near Te Puke, and has been staying with his aunt at Te Papapa. The accident was seen by Mr F. I. Bouzaid, of Te Papapa, who swam out and helped to get Le Marquand ashore. It was a hard struggle, and both got back to the lieach much exhausted.
FARM HAND DROWNED. HAMILTON, Feb. 29. While swimming with three companions in the vicinity of Okete Falls, in Raglan Harbour, Dustan Cailington, aged 19 years, a farm hand, was drowned.
