ECONOMIC CONFERENCE

CANADA’S VIEWS. OTTAWA. Feb. 25. Tho House of Commons to-day adopted a resolution proposed by tbe Minister of Trade and Commerce. Mr Stevens, flint the Canadian delegate to the. Imperial Conference be instructed to actively support the measures for stabilisation of currency in all British countries in such a manner as to facilitate trade between the component parts of the Empire, and to promote ccnomic unitv therein.

Premier Bennett and the Opposition Leader, Mr MacKenzie King, found themselves in agreement to-dav in the belief that Canada’s representation at the Imperial Conference should consist of supporters of the Government and not of all parties of Parliament. Referring to the matter, the Premier said that some Prime Ministers of the Dominions from time to time contended it, was rather tiresome to have only one party represented and that the Government of the day should he assisted by tin* .Leader of the Opposition. “But that view has' not obtained and not likely I" obtain.” “Hear, bear,” said Mr MacKenzic-King.
