OBITUARY
AIRS AJULYiHILL, I’lie death of Airs Atargnret ALilvihill widow of the late Air John ATulvilii!l of Kumara, which took place at an early hour this morning at the residence of Airs Jackson, Revell Street, removes a well-known and highly respected resident of the district. Mrs Mulvihil! was a popular figure in Ivumara from its early days and as hostess of the. Court House Hotel there, was known far and wide for her kindly disposition and hospitality. Some two years ago Airs Muivifiil! came to Hokitika to live, and has been gradually failing in health. Her death will he regretted by a wide circle of friends. She was a native of County Cork Ireland and 39 years of age, and had been in New Zealand 63 years, landing in Hokitika in 1363 with her husband, where they had the Dan O’Comieli Hotel fora time t here before going to Kumara where tlmy had the Court House Hotel for 57 ye ns. Her hush n<| (ire'creased her imiuv years ago. while she lost her only son (Kdwanl) s< me nine years ago. One daughter Miss D. Mulviliill is left, to mourn her loss. The funeral is taking plane to Hokitika eeinelcrv to-morrow afternoon.
