H.M.S. LABURNUM
VISIT TO GREYMOUTH. The H.Af.S. Laburnum is due to arrive at Greymouth late this afternoon from Westport. Jt was originally in tended to leave Westport earlier and arrive at Greymouth at about H a.in. Her departure has been delayed, however, and she will now leave Westport at about 11 a.m., arriving at Greymouth, it is expected, about 5 p.m. There was a heavy sea on the bar last night, and if the sloop does not catch the tide (high tide at 2.3 d p.m.) she will probably have to wait for a later tide. For Sunday afternoon a motor drive has been arranged to Mitchells, whilst on Monday a cricket match will he played between a Greymouth team and one from the sloop. The visitors, who have been invited to attend a number of dances, will during their stay, he given full use of the Greymouth Bowling Club’s green, whilst there are other entertainments yet to he finalised.
