WELLINGTON, Keb. 23
By a Commission of five Legislative Councillors, the first session, of the twenty-fourth Parliament was opened this afternoon. After letters patent had been read by Sir W'aler Camcross, the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Members of the House of Representatives adjourned to the lower chamber whore they were sworn in by the Clerk of the House, after which Sir Charles Stratham, was reelected as Speaker, which office he has held since 1923.
