AIR CRASH
ULM A PASSENGER. OCCUPANTS SEVERELY INJURED. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, February 22. Charles Ulin and J. Kerr were severely injured when the plane crashed into electric-power transmission lines at Laverton. Both received concussion and burns, but were saved from electrocution by automatic devices at each end of the lines which immediately cut off the power at the impact. The engine of the plane was thrown forty yards away, and Lim petrol tank, which burst into flames, was torn loose, and fell about ten feet from the plane to which Ulin and Kerr were strapped.
