FLYING COSTUMES.

The woman who flies her own little Moth from Scotland, lot us say, to keep a luncheon appointment in London, does not bother any longer about cumbersome flying kit which she lias to change for town clothes before leaving the aerodrome (states the Daily Mail). Instead she has adopted the new flying suit, which is smart, enough for town wear as well. 'Phis comprises a slim, but warmly padded leather coat, cut in the latest- fashion with fur scarf, broad shoulders, and flared skirt, beneath is she wears a suede or woolen blouse and a lbldover skirt of tweed or leather. The cap is also leather and modelled on the lines ol a “tammy,” with leather "quill” sticking up at the hack. It gives adequate protection, although it is worn at the modish angle. I lie new flying suit lias been designed by London dressmakers. “So many of my clients who fly their own machines begged me to make them something which would lie smart enough to obviate their changing from Hying to ordinary clothes.'' said one. “So I carefully studied tlu- needs of the woman pilot, and this suit gives her adequate protection in the machine and looks very smart out of if.”
