(By Teleyraph —Per Press Association)

OHRISTHCHURCH, Feb. 18

At a meeting of North Canterbury Centre of New Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union, the Chairman (Mr W. j’ Walter) stated that a report had been published to the effect that Taranaki Centre had been granted the Australasian road championship. He considered that if the report was correct it was unfair to Canterbury as North Canterbury Centre conducted the most important race in the Dominion.
