MILK VENDOR FINED

TIMARU, February 18.

At the Magistrate’s Court, William McMillan, n. milk vendor, was fined £2O and £lO respectively, oh two charges of selling milk containing a prohibited preservative, and added water.

THIEF SENTENCED.

; CHEISTTT.CHUILCH, Fob. 18. Ilia. Mav Wilson, a domestic, aged 20, was sentenced to four months hard labour at the Magistrate’s Court to-day on fifteen charges of theft from seven city firms of goods to a total value of £77 17s fid. The evidence showed she had been operating in shops for two months.. The Chief Detective described her as a had and cunning thief.
